Key Project Elements
- The works were carried out in 3 different sites in Co. Waterford
- The areas were: Kilmacleague, Castletown wetlands & Ballygunnermore wetlands
- The sites were remediated to an extent that would promote natural wetland rehabilitation
- Excavation of construction & demolition waste
- Temporary stockpiled the materials after processing to the relevant specifications
- Excavated material was recovered for re-use where possible
- All municipal waste was disposed of at the agreed licenced Waste Management facilities
- Construction of a new sea embankment using appropriate material recovered
